Now things get interesting. Head to the Teleport Waypoint between Loch Urania and the Weeping Willow of the Lake, then go south to a small pool. This branch is locked behind a Precious Chest and a proper Fontaine-style puzzle. You've got a Hydro core pedestal, Water Volume Detection Crystals, and a switch. My brain already started to ache. Here's the step-by-step guide I wish I had:

  1. Grab the Hydrograna near the lake.

  2. Very carefully dip your toes in the water (don't fully dive!) to make the Hydrograna grow and form a ring around you.

  3. Place the Hydro core on the pedestal above the pool.

  4. Hit the switch. The crystals start spinning, with only three lit at a time.

  5. Wait patiently (or impatiently, like me) until all four crystals are in range of water—two submerged, two in the Hydro core's area.

  6. Hit the switch again to stop them at the perfect moment.

  7. If all four are glowing, congratulations! The Precious Chest appears. If not... well, try again. I may have messed this up a few times. Who's counting?

This one feels like a secret mission. Teleport east of the Weeping Willow of the Lake, head northeast to a creepy pool with ruined houses and Pyro slimes. Your goal? Clear the water to reveal a portal. How? Find the Machine with Xenochromatic Ball Octopus abilities by the water. Use its power to attack the 'Contaminated Bacterial Mats' (ugly purple tumors) around the pool. Their healing is crazy fast, so this special attack is the only thing that works. Destroy the tumors, the water clears, and then you can dive in to find a vortex portal. It takes you underground to an Exquisite Chest containing the branch. Spooky and cool!

4. The Energy Ball Cannon (Southeast of the Weeping Willow)

Another day, another small pool in Fontaine. Teleport to the waypoint southeast of the Weeping Willow of the Lake and head further southeast. You'll find a pool and, to the east, a Potential Energy Orb mechanism. Interact with another Xenochromatic Ball Octopus machine to launch an Energy Ball into the pool. Aim for the marked spot with a ring and a bright star. Success? A vortex portal appears, warping you to a shipwreck near Lumidouce Harbor. Swim through a broken ship window to find a Precious Chest with the branch. It's like magical underwater postal service!

5. The Treasure Hoarder Vault Heist

This branch is in a shipwreck that doubles as a treasure hoarder vault. The catch? The Precious Chest is behind a locked gate needing three Simple Vault Keys. Time for a mini treasure hunt within a treasure hunt! Here's where they are:

  • Simple Vault Key I: At the very top of the shipwreck. Look for an 'Investigate' prompt—it's easy to miss among some nest-like clutter.

  • Simple Vault Key II: In a Common Chest on the wreck. To unlock it, you gotta defeat all the nearby treasure hoarders (about five of them). Consider it a warm-up.

  • Simple Vault Key III: Buried east of the shipwreck. Look for three worn wooden crates and a suspicious fake Sweet Flower in the middle. Dig there!

Get all three keys, open the vault, and claim your prize. Felt like a master thief... a very slow, easily distracted master thief.

6. The Final Ousia vs. Pneuma Showdown (North of Foggy Forest Path)

The last one! Teleport to the Foggy Forest Path waypoint and head north to—you guessed it—a little pool. This branch is inside an Exquisite Chest, which is itself inside a Pneuma-aligned box underwater. To break it, you need an Ousia attack. You have two options:

  1. Use an Ousia-aligned character like Lynette (very convenient).

  2. Grab the Ousia block from the Huge Shell sitting on the shore nearby.

Dive down, smash the box, open the chest, and the final branch is yours! 🎉

Mission Complete: Time for Rewards!

Once you have all six branches clutched in your inventory (feels good, doesn't it?), it's time for the payoff. Head back to Pahsiv's hidden cave in Loch Urania. If you haven't finished the main Wild Fairy quest yet, you'll need to do that first to access her. Hand over your hard-earned branches, and she'll give you the entire reward table.
